Resume - Cheryl L. Wild

Dr. Cheryl Wild is President and founder of Wild & Associates, Inc. Dr. Wild helps organizations improve their performance, using her expertise in process improvement, problem solving, outcome assessment, measurement and evaluation. Prior to becoming a process improvement consultant, Dr. Wild spent 25 years with the Educational Testing Service, where she served as executive director for business process reengineering, organizational development and test development. She received all of her degrees from Purdue University: Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and mathematics, as well as both a Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in educational research and statistics.

Cheryl WildDr. Wild is an expert on team problem solving and benchmarking. She teaches benchmarking at the National Graduate School, based in Falmouth, Massachusetts. The New Jersey chapter of the Association for Quality and Participation has honored her for being the Executive Director of the New Jersey AQP Team Excellence Competition (recruiting and training of judges, planning the competition, and providing feedback to the teams) and for coaching the two Merrill Lynch teams that won the national gold and bronze awards in 2002. Dr. Wild served as a national and regional judge for AQP for many years. An expert on assessment, she helps organizations improve the reliability and validity of tests and surveys, improve work processes to assure test scores are reported without errors, and consults on measurement as well as process related issues. She is the author of many articles and book chapters on testing and measurement issues, as well as on productivity and quality improvement.

Dr. Wild has a strong professional interest in quality methods and, in particular, the human side of quality and teamwork. She has led a change management and human resources team for a reengineering effort that resulted in multimillion-dollar annual savings. She is an auditor for ISO/IEC 17024. She has been an examiner for the New Jersey Governor’s Award for Performance Excellence, modeled after the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Among other professional groups she is a member of the American Society for Quality; the Association for Test Publishers; the American Educational Research Association; the National Council for Measurement in Education; the Council on Licensure, Enforcement and Regulation; and the National Organization for Competency Assurance.
